The City of Seymour Fire Department serves the City of Seymour residents and guests. Our department provides fire suppression, life-threatening emergency medical services and rescue services for vehicle accidents and other rescue needs. We have an extremely dedicated volunteer team to provide our community protection before, during, and after emergencies, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Our department has 17 volunteer firefighters including a command staff made up of an Assistant Chief, Captain, medical, and training officer devoted to protecting the community. The department also also employs one part-time Fire Chief. We encourage you to call upon us; we are here to serve you.

Our departments commitment to each of you is simple. In emergencies and non-emergencies alike, we strive to be safe and serve.

We are always seeking new energetic volunteers to join our team and if you wish to join, contact City Hall to obtain an application and speak with the Fire Chief.
