Community Information

With a population of 1,921, Seymour is the epitome of a small town community!  If you enjoy the feeling of being a part of an extended family, then Seymour is the place to be.  We have beautiful churches which serve the religious needs of the community as well as civic organizations that include the Greater Seymour Area Chamber of Commerce, Merchants Association, Lion's Club, Arts Council and others that encourage community involvement.

The town of Seymour was established in 1895 and has a rich history that is preserved by our Historical Society.  Many generations of families have been raised here and as we grow as a community we hope to remain a town of neighbors helping neighbors.
